Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church has been a place of worship, discipleship, and community impact since 1956. As we celebrate 70 years, we invite you to be part of what God will do next.
Since 1956, followers of Jesus Christ have gathered to worship, pray, teach, encourage, serve, baptize, fellowship and disciple in the family of faith called Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church.
Cooperating with fellow Alabama Baptist congregations, our church family has supported hundreds of missionaries across the world, our nation and our city.
Faithful stewardship has helped our church sustain a vibrant presence in Homewood and indelibly impact our community.
Our facilities have welcomed countless neighbors, families, students and worshipers.
Seven decades of hosting weddings, funerals, concerts, Vacation Bible Schools, Fall Festivals, and worship services have forged inspiring memories and enduring connections.
As the Raleigh Avenue family prepares to celebrate 70 years of God’s faithfulness, we gratefully acknowledge those who have brought us here.
Their consistent, and often sacrificial, support of this fellowship has laid a solid foundation for ministry and growth.
Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church has established the Legacy 70 Fund to catalyze ministry with Kingdom impact. This dedicated fund will undergird initiatives to reach children, young families, students and singles.
By complementing budgeted giving, it will strategically advance outreach that strategically impacts the community and grows the Kingdom.
A special service celebrating the 70th anniversary of Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church in Homewood will take place April 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary with lunch to follow in the fellowship hall. More information will be available on the church’s Facebook page or by calling the church office at 205-942-8060. Everyone is invited to attend, and if you were in the youth choir in the 1970s and 1980s, then you’ll recognize at least one familiar choir special that day.
